A police
complaint has been filed by Mrs. Hansa Roy, Director, Bridging Rainbows
Foundation, against two Vadodara Municipal Corporation sweepers who were
working outside Varahi Mataji Mandir, Kalali for killing an overtly friendly, a
lame, male stray dog named Langdu. They spread rumors that he was biting
everyone and then they killed him.
Langdu was
sterilised and vaccinated by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation in 2022 through
Yash Foundation.
On 12th
October, 2026, the two sweepers picked up a fight with Mrs. Hansa Roy regarding
Langdu, who was eating peacefully and getting himself petted. They were
insistent that he was rabid and they were not ready to listen to her. In
hindsight, they had already planned to kill Langdu.
Langdu was
branded rabid due to rumour mongering and his body has not been found
yet.
