Dr. Kuhu Roy writes:

Some dogs are born brats. My Whitewash was that. She got that name because when we met for the first time, it seemed as though she was just out of whitewashing a home. Hence the name, although it offends my mother very much.

Under our lifetime care, sterilised and vaccinated against rabies, she exuded a different body language, that of confidence and an ability to understand that she was free from the vicious cycle of giving birth after birth. Then, my Whitewash became the leader of the pack. She rounded up one after the other, I had to beg her to show some mercy to her pack members. Her eyes glittered after every act of mischief.

Fast forward.

Whitewash is now paralysed waist down, all thanks to the dreadful lot who don't deserve to drive as they consider them 'just a stray dog. She is on medications and making attempts to walk, her progress is good because she is exercising on the mud. It is a no man's land at this point because the under-construction has come to a halt because of the ongoing senseless war. The site in-charge's family loves her. But, when time will come for them to leave, Whitewash will come home to me.

A full of life dog like Whitewash shouldn't have become paralysed in the first place. This picture of hers hit me very hard.

Could you take out a minute to take the Bridging Rainbows Foundation's ROAD SAFETY PLEDGE to Give Animals a Brake https://forms.gle/869ykgJsJseNRErG6?

It is not too much of an ask, but could mean the world to an animal who counts on you to drive carefully.
