Some
hard facts about the Animal Birth Control Programme in Baroda/Vadodara

lives continues in the backdrop of vaccine scam.
2. One animal welfare organization has the so called project recognition and
permission, the other doesn't. But what difference does that make when both
have continued to make a mockery of the Animal Birth Control Programme? And
they do such brilliant work (swollen red genitals, no post op), that they have
also declined to undergo the training by experts.
3. In the absence of monitoring, clip the ear and claim the money scam continues,
where some dogs whose ears are clipped, but they are left back without
sterilisation and they continue to deliver.
4. Repeated requests to the Vadodara Municipal Corporation for accountability and
transparency in the Animal Birth Control Programme have been ignored.
5. When the matter reached the Prime Minister's Office, the Animal Birth Control
incharge gave a response that only he could understand. I will share it with
everyone to look at.
6. Last dog census was done more than a decade ago, there is no denominator value
available. Shooting in the dark?
7. They perhaps forgot to mention about the impounding facility. You would be
allowed entry provided you bring a dog for impounding and leave your phone
outside.
