So, we want to get a dog. What next? Many of us would go and buy or adopt one and then the responsibilities begin, for which we may or may not be prepared. Deciding to bring home a dog is equivalent to pledging to raise a child for his/her entire life. The following series of self-reflecting questions will make us aware of the responsibilities before we decide to bring home a dog. This tool will also help us self-assess whether we are ready for this big step. Let us be aware of all that we need to keep in mind and be sure of before that dog walks into our home so that we do not falter on this bond of lifetime commitment.
