Only a handful of stray dogs get to see senior age. Then, one day, they are silently picked up (for reasons unknown) by those who will never show their face, never provide their number and locals will practice omerta. Where the dog has been taken, what for, by whom and why the dog is never brought back to the place he/she was picked up from remains a forever mystery. This happened with our Dholu in September 2022, a perfectly healthy for his age, sterilized and vaccinated stray dog. Dholu was under our care every day for over a decade. There is no resolution to this grief.
Can we please let the senior stray dogs live in peace?
