Every stray dog that is killed or dislocated hampers the mission of a rabies-free society.

In mid-April 2024 a white male stray dog named Bhavesh was picked up for sterilization by Vadodara SPCA from the premises of LBS Hall, MSU Boys Hostel, and he has not been brought back yet.

What happens to stray dogs like Bhavesh who are picked up for sterilization and not brought back? Is it a part of a very big racket?

In another instance, a pair of siblings picked up by Vadodara SPCA from Patwa estate returned in a sickly condition. One of them recovered and the other had to be rushed to a private vet to save his life. He was diagnosed with congested lungs and a 1 lakh WBC count. His unnecessary agony inflicted by VSPCA cost us 35k.

VSPCA champions;
- Dislocation of stray dogs
- Entertain calls for stray dog removal
- Take pups for surgeries
- Mishandle stray dogs (they are hung upside down and beaten with iron rods)
-No antibiotics are given post op because of which the stray dogs die at their shelter or upon release
- Stinking food is provided to the stray dogs and the lucky ones who return are in emaciated condition.
-Stray dogs are released from their shelter to be dropped at the whims and fancies of the ground staff as stray dogs are not tagged, resulting in dogs fights and dog bites.

An unannounced visit to the VSPCA shelter can be an eye opener of the slaughter house they are running for stray dogs in the name of spay/neuter. Their activities are aimed at increasing the man-stray dog conflict, while filling their own pockets with money with concurrent wastage of tax payers money.

Vadodara SPCA's malpractices were the primary reason they could never deliver results. They blatantly and intentionally violate the Animal Birth Control Rules every day with no fear of action being ever taken against them.

A complaint has been registered by Mrs. Hansa Roy seeking action against Vadodara SPCA on grounds of gross violation of Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023, with a plea to the administration to rope in an organization that practices the Animal Birth Control programme in letter and spirit.
