Our dearest Shivani crossed over in mid June early in the morning. It feels as though she was waiting to watch the first rain of the season and then only leave. She was the same age as that of our Amma, the blind one we had at home. Although there is peace in knowing she had a natural death, the locals kept her body in the garbage bin. There was no chance to even say goodbye or give a burial.

Run free, Shivani. That place is vacant without you now. The treasure of memories remains with us.
