Rest in peace, Nimmi.
Dearest Nimmi was rescued and adopted in ripe old
age in December 2024 by Mrs. Roy after the local residents began to create
problems for her. Nimmi used to cry because she was severely undernourished and
had severe osteoarthritis.
In her youth, Nimmi used to guard and protect
everyone in that area. So much for the loyalty of a dog.
Nimmi came home and led a grand life for forty
days; sleeping, eating foods of her choice, had a bed and a blanket and
travelled on Dr. Roy's lap everywhere because her joints had given up.
Nimmi was diagnosed with an enlarged
heart and advanced stage kidney failure on January 8. She crossed over on January 9 leaving
a huge void.
