Pharmacy Laali's daughter has grown old. Senior dogs have slower reflexes as compared to their younger counterparts. Then, the stiff joints. Understanding this fact needs empathy from all those of us who drive. Countless senior dogs are run down because they are not given the time to escape or perhaps their existence is so redundant that many do not feel the need to value their life.
Last week our Pharmacy Laali's daughter met with a road hit. She was stunned, shocked and in trauma. Fortunately, the extent of the injuries was not fatal. She is on the long road to recovery (the bones need more time to heal as we age) but walks with a limp these days and has a wound which is being treated on a daily basis on the spot. She is one of the lucky ones to have survived the apathy of those at the wheels.
