Dogs on the streets
foster great friendships. Our Madhav (left) and Kaala Chotu (right) are one
such pair. The duo are always together, be in on bullying endeavours or going
out for a stroll together. A key factor behind stability of their relationship
is the lifelong care they have been given. They are fed, their medical needs
are looked after, they were sterilised and vaccinated against rabies, loved and
wanted, have a name and an identity of their own for which they are celebrated.
We presently have more than three hundred dogs
like Madhav and Kaala Chotu under lifelong care, the same that one would give
to a homed companion animal, spread across the city of Baroda.
